Anubhuti Goswami’s Melodic Minds Tour in Guwahati Concludes with a Profound Impact

Guwahati, September 26, 2024: Acclaimed Music Therapist Anubhuti Goswami recently concluded her Melodic Minds tour in Guwahati, captivating audiences with her unique approach to mental wellness through music therapy and sound healing. Joined by her husband, Emon Seuj Goswami, a skilled multi-instrumentalist and sound healer, the tour featured a series of events that offered participants an immersive experience into the healing power of music.

The tour kicked off on September 20, 2024, with a compelling presentation on the therapeutic impact of legendary Assamese singer Jayanta Hazarika at ITA Machkhowa, organized by Byatikram MASDO. Anubhuti’s insightful discussion highlighted how Hazarika’s music continues to serve as a source of emotional and mental healing, resonating deeply with attendees.

In observance of World Alzheimer’s Day, Anubhuti held a workshop on September 21 focusing on memory development through music therapy. The workshop offered practical strategies for caregivers and participants to enhance cognitive functions, particularly memory retention, and was highly praised for its practical approach to addressing memory-related conditions like Alzheimer’s.

The impact of Anubhuti Goswami’s Melodic Minds tour was lauded by experts. Dr. Dipesh Bhagabati, Senior Psychiatrist at Apollo Hospital, called it “a breakthrough for mental health.” Neurologist Dr. Ajaya Mahanta noted that music therapy “reduces anxiety, thus complementing neurological care.” Dr. Gayatree Goswami, Dean at USTM, commended Anubhuti’s efforts, saying, “Her work shows how music fosters emotional and educational growth.

Another standout event was held at Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva University on September 23, where Anubhuti led an in-depth workshop on the salutogenetic approach to music therapy and sound healing. This session underscored the role of sound in promoting overall health and well-being, supported by Emon’s expert sound healing techniques, which added a deeply therapeutic dimension to the experience.

The tour concluded with a compassionate sound healing session for the inmates of Central Jail, Guwahati, on September 25. This heartfelt initiative provided an opportunity for incarcerated individuals to experience the calming and restorative power of sound healing, leaving a lasting impact on their emotional and mental well-being.
