The bishop who administered the memorial service of Aretha Franklin has apologized for seeming to grab artist Ariana Grande in front of an audience, starting across the board shock.
The 25-year-old pop star sang the Aretha Franklin exemplary “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” one of a progression of tributes by artists to America’s “Ruler of Soul” at her marathon memorial service gone to by presidents, stars and music sovereignty.
After her execution, she was complimented by Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, who folded his arm over her, his hand high over her midsection and his fingers squeezed against her chest.
“It could never be my expectation to contact any lady’s bosom. … I don’t have the foggiest idea, I figure I put my arm around her,” Ellis said in remarks to US media affirmed to AFP on Saturday.
