B.H. Anil Kumar, Esteemed COVID Warrior and Former IAS Officer, Joins Indian Softball Cricket Foundation as National Promoter(Iscl)

The Indian Softball Cricket Foundation (ISCF) proudly announces the appointment of B.H. Anil Kumar, a distinguished former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and recognized COVID Warrior, as a key figure in promoting softball cricket across the nation.

Born in 1962 in Bengaluru, Kumar has dedicated his life to public service, contributing significantly to both State and Central Governments throughout his career. Notably, during the first wave of COVID-19, he made headlines for establishing India’s first War Room within an unprecedented 24 hours, a proactive initiative that was subsequently adopted by various other states to manage the crisis effectively.

After retiring from service in 2022, Kumar ventured into the political arena by contesting the Karnataka Assembly elections on a BJP ticket, further demonstrating his commitment to community service and civic engagement.

In his new role at the ISCF, Kumar aims to champion the growth of softball cricket nationwide, fostering an environment that encourages participation and excellence in the sport. His wealth of experience in leadership and governance will be invaluable in advancing the foundation’s mission of expanding the reach and recognition of softball cricket in India.

Kumar is supported in his endeavors by his wife, Mrs. Geetha Anil Kumar, an accomplished MBA graduate and dedicated homemaker. Geetha has successfully managed multiple business ventures while nurturing her artistic talents, embodying the spirit of dedication and innovation.

The ISCF is thrilled to welcome B.H. Anil Kumar into its fold, recognizing not just his exemplary public service record but also his unwavering commitment to community development. Together, the foundation celebrates leaders like Kumar and Geetha, who strive for excellence and inspire future generations to follow in their footsteps.

As the ISCF embarks on this new chapter, they remain committed to promoting the sport and fostering a love for softball cricket across all demographics in India. Stay tuned for upcoming initiatives and events aimed at elevating the profile of this dynamic sport on a national scale.
