Bhagat Singh Rescue Team: A Lifeline for the Needy in Sri Ganganagar
Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan – The Bhagat Singh Rescue Team, a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded by Rajinder Allsikha, is making a remarkable impact in Rajasthan through its humanitarian, social welfare, and rescue services. Operating with over 100 volunteers, the organization provides free assistance in areas such as animal rescue, funeral services for unclaimed bodies, education for orphans, blood donation drives, and anti-drug campaigns.
The NGO was established with a strong commitment to selfless service, ensuring that those in distress receive aid without any financial burden. Founder Rajinder Allsikha, born on January 1, 1998, in Sri Ganganagar, was inspired by personal hardships and a deep sense of social responsibility.
The Bhagat Singh Rescue Team ensures respectful funerals for unclaimed bodies across Rajasthan. Regardless of religion, the organization performs cremations or burials, honoring the deceased with dignity. The team collaborates with local police and hospitals to identify and carry out last rites for such cases.
Recognizing the financial struggles of many families, the NGO sponsors and arranges marriages for girls from economically weaker sections. It covers all expenses, ensuring that brides begin their new lives with dignity and essential provisions.
The organization provides free education, food, and shelter to orphans and children from financially weak backgrounds. The initiative ensures that these children receive continuous support until they are capable of self-sufficiency.
Bhagat Singh Rescue Team organizes free eye treatment camps across Rajasthan, offering medical aid to those with vision problems. Additionally, it runs blood donation drives, providing life-saving blood to patients in critical emergencies.
The NGO is actively involved in rescuing and treating injured or abandoned animals, particularly cows and stray animals. A 24/7 free ambulance service is available for emergency animal rescue operations.
To combat the rising issue of drug addiction in Rajasthan and Punjab, the team conducts awareness programs, counseling sessions, and anti-drug campaigns. They collaborate with the Narcotics Control Bureau and Social Justice & Empowerment Department to organize rallies, cultural programs, and seminars. Every year on June 26, they observe International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking.
Inspired by Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the NGO runs cleanliness campaigns in public places, streets, and neighborhoods, promoting hygiene and environmental responsibility.
The Bhagat Singh Rescue Team is rapidly expanding beyond Rajasthan, with a growing base of volunteers across India. The organization is committed to transparency, honesty, and free service to ensure maximum social impact.
