Bhagwan Mahavir College of commerce and management studies(BMCCMS) Successfully Organises “PROTSAHAN 2026” at Bhagwan Mahavir University

Bhagwan Mahavir College of Commerce & Management Studies (BMCCMS), under Bhagwan Mahavir University (BMU), Surat, successfully organised its flagship youth festival “PROTSAHAN 2026 – Rooted with Care, Rising with Confidence” from 05 to 10 February 2026. The multi-day fest witnessed enthusiastic student participation and showcased a dynamic blend of academics, management, culture, sports, creativity, and leadership.

 

The fest was inaugurated on 05 February 2026 by Shri Anupam Singh Gehlot, Police Commissioner – Surat, whose inspiring address motivated students to embrace discipline, leadership, and social responsibility.

 

The programme was graced by the Guest of Honours which included Mrs. Mona Desai, Mr. Subhash Pawar, Mr. Girish Luthra, Mr. Ritesh Modi, Dr. Jagdish Sakhiya, and Mrs. Poonam Barot, along with them, the presence of Trustees, Shri Anil Jain Sir, Dr. Sanjay Jain Sir accompanied by Provost Dr. Ram Kumar Sir made the occasion immensely remarkable and contributed significantly to the success of the inauguration ceremony.

 

The event was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Cheta Desai, I/C Director and Principal – BMCCMS and Dean – Student Welfare, BMU, whose continuous support played a pivotal role in the success of the festival.

 

A key academic highlight of Protsahan 2026 was BMMUN 5.0, inaugurated by Shri Daxesh Kishorbhai Mavani, Hon’ble Mayor of Surat, featuring committees such as Lok Sabha, UNGA, Business Case Study, IPL Auction, Share War, and Junior Lok Sabha, providing students with experiential learning in diplomacy, governance, and strategic decision-making.

 

The fest featured a wide range of cultural, literary, and creative events including dance, fashion show, singing, talent show, debate, quiz, and art-based competitions, alongside sports and fitness events such as badminton, volleyball, kabaddi, box cricket, skating, deadlift, pickleball, and esports. These events collectively promoted confidence, teamwork, discipline, and holistic development.

 

The festival concluded with a grand musical concert by renowned artist Saaj Bhatt, complemented by an impressive laser and fire show, leaving the audience enthralled.

 

Protsahan 2026 stood as a vibrant celebration of youth talent and leadership, reinforcing BMCCMS’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, confident, and socially responsible individuals.

 

The efforts of our Administrative Head Dr. Harshita Bhatia, along with all faculty members, the administrative team, played a vital role in making the event a grand success.
