Mexican singer Ariel Camacho died in a car crash Wednesday on a highway outside Sinaloa, Mexico.
The 22-year-old was on the road promoting a deluxe edition of his latest album El Karma when he was involved in a highway collision, reports Billboard.
The young star had reportedly been on tour promoting a deluxe version of his latest album, El Karma, which he recorded for DEL Records with his band, Los Plebes del Rancho.
The record label confirmed Camacho’s death on its social media accounts, and posted a Facebook video of mourning fans singing his hit, “Te Metiste.”
At the time of his death, he was also composing and recording new music with his band, Los Plebes del Rancho (“The Ranch Hands”), the Mexican paper reported.
Dozens of Mexican musicians expressed their condolences on social networks and published photos with Camacho. Several came to sing at his wake Thursday.
