Chennai Hosts Global EDu Crew’s Education Conference with 350+ School Leaders

Chennai, Tamil Nadu (India), 5 December 2024: The 5th Global Educators Conclave, organised by Global EDu Crew, marked an important event for Tamil Nadu’s educational sector. The conference brought together more than 350 school owners and decision-makers from across India.

The event, inaugurated by MP Tamizhachi Thanga Pandian, showcased the expanding impact of Global EDu Crew, an organisation founded in 2017 by Mrs Suvvidha Kannan and Mr Kannan Velladurai. This event also marked the countdown to EYES 2024 Bangalore, a significant summit scheduled for December 13th.

This year’s conclave presented a range of topics, reflecting the evolving needs of modern education. Participants engaged in discussions ranging from AI and Machine Learning integration to emotional intelligence and social-emotional learning. The event particularly emphasised the importance of sustainable education and culturally responsive teaching methods.

“This conclave serves as a platform for educators to exchange ideas and collectively address the challenges in education,” said Mr Kannan, emphasising the importance of collaborative learning among educational leaders.

The overall agenda included sessions on robotics, coding education, and next-generation learning management systems, highlighting the technological advancement in educational practices. Educators also explored crucial areas such as mindfulness, well-being practices, and the role of sports and competitive gaming in education.

A significant portion of the conclave focused on environmental and sustainability education, reflecting the growing importance of eco-conscious learning in the modern curriculum. The discussions also covered smart cities and urban planning education, demonstrating the interdisciplinary approach needed in today’s educational space.

The event facilitated networking opportunities, enabling educators to forge professional relationships and explore collaborative ventures. Discussions on field trips and cultural exchange programs highlighted the importance of experiential learning in modern education.

The conclave concluded with a strong emphasis on implementing practical solutions discussed during the sessions, ensuring that the insights gained would translate into tangible improvements in educational institutions across the country.
