Delhi’s All Markets Shut on April 25 in Protest Against Pahalgam Attack
In a powerful show of unity and national solidarity, all markets across Delhi including wholesale, retail, food, electronics, garments etc. will remain completely shut on Friday, April 25, 2025, in protest against the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.
This symbolic yet impactful bandh has been called by the Delhi Hindustan Merchantile Association (Reg.), urging traders, vendors, and businesses of all sectors to observe a day of mourning and collective resistance against violence and terror.
Candle March from Arun Vastra Bhandar to Lal Qila
Adding to this peaceful protest, Arun Vastra Bhandar will organize a Candle March to stand in solidarity with the victims and send a strong message of peace, unity, and resilience.
This peaceful walk is open to all market traders, local residents, and citizens who wish to pay tribute and stand united against terrorism.
“We’re not just closing shops, we’re walking for peace,” said Mr. Sachin Jain, founder of Arun Vastra Bhandar.
This is not limited to any one market or industry. From local kirana shops to malls, from wholesale mandis to branded showrooms, the entire business community of Delhi is coming together as one voice.
This is beyond business—it’s about standing for humanity, peace, and the right to live without fear.
WE MOURN THE LOST LIVES. WE DEMAND PEACE. WE STAND TOGETHER.
