Growing up in the quiet village of Akkarapalayam in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi district, I was raised with strong values of discipline, sincerity, and community bonding. My educational path began traditionally with a degree in Commerce and Management, aiming for a secure professional career.
Yet, even as I followed this route, I sensed a deeper calling. My natural curiosity about human behavior, emotions, and personal growth steadily grew, preparing me for a life that would be far more impactful than I had ever imagined.
Life took me to Dubai, where I spent more than a decade working as a Corporate Affairs Manager. During this time, I attended a workshop titled Discover Yourself. This immersive program introduced me to powerful methods of self-awareness, reflection, and transformation.
That single workshop shifted the course of my life. I realized that my passion was not in corporate structures but in guiding individuals, inspiring change, and helping others unlock their true potential.
My journey as a trainer began in 2007 with a personality development program conducted in Chennai. The session was life-changing—not only for participants but also for me. Many attendees experienced profound realizations, which validated my decision to dedicate myself to this work.
That moment solidified my mission: to use psychology and experiential learning to empower people to find strength and clarity within themselves.
To deepen my expertise, I pursued over a dozen academic qualifications in psychology, counseling, psychotherapy, and life coaching. These studies gave me a strong foundation to bring structured learning to others.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to:
These milestones strengthened my mission to bring mental and emotional wellness into mainstream conversations.
Like every meaningful journey, mine came with challenges. When I decided to leave my corporate job in 2016 and focus on training full-time, I faced financial struggles, skepticism, and doubts from people around me.
Despite this, I persisted—traveling extensively, learning continuously, and reaching wider audiences. The COVID-19 pandemic also pushed me to evolve, leading me to digital platforms, where I connected with global learners and expanded my reach more than ever before.
I owe much of my growth to Dr. Sadath Khan, whose Discover Yourself program first introduced me to transformative learning. My long association with Junior Chamber International (JCI) also played a pivotal role in shaping my training career, eventually earning me the title of JCI Author, the highest recognition for trainers in JCI India.
Equally, my wife Shamila and my close friend Er. Keelai Irfan have been unwavering supporters. Their encouragement gave me the strength to pursue my vision despite all odds.
To give structure to my mission, I established HU International, which today stands as one of India’s leading platforms for psychological education and coaching.
Our flagship programs include:
With 750+ active students enrolled, HU International provides long-term, live, and interactive learning experiences—something rare in this field.
As part of our vision to make psychological education globally accessible, we launched MasterMind International in the UAE, with expansion plans across the GCC region. Our five-year goal is to scale our impact to 5,000+ active learners per batch, creating a worldwide network of empowered individuals.
We are also actively promoting life skills education in schools and colleges, ensuring that today’s youth grow not only in academics but also in emotional intelligence, resilience, and interpersonal competence.
For those beginning their career in training or psychology, I offer these guiding principles:
From a small Tamil Nadu village to becoming a mentor with a global reach, my journey has been one of faith, resilience, and purpose. I see my role as that of a bridge—helping people realize their true strengths, overcome challenges, and live with deeper meaning.
As we expand HU International’s presence globally, my mission remains steadfast: to help individuals discover themselves, heal emotionally, grow mentally, and thrive holistically.
