Entrepreneur Under 25 Delhi: Karan Sehrawat

Karan Sehrawat is a Delhi-based entrepreneur working in the hospitality supply sector and early-stage resort development. Operating from Mahipalpur, a key hospitality hub in the capital, he manages a commercial kitchen equipment and glassware business while simultaneously being involved in hospitality-led real estate projects in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan.

He completed his schooling from Ryan International School and went on to study Journalism (Honours) at The Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC), University of Delhi. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from Apeejay University, which provided him with a working understanding of branding, communication, and market positioning—skills that are applicable across his business interests.

His primary business focuses on supplying commercial kitchen equipment, bar solutions, and glassware to hotels, cafés, and restaurants. Based in Mahipalpur, the operation caters largely to institutional hospitality clients and works closely with project consultants, hotel operators, and procurement teams. Over time, the business has supplied to brands such as Taj Hotels, Oberoi Group, Lemon Tree Hotels, Third Wave Coffee, and Sandoz.

The nature of the work involves coordination with multiple vendors, adherence to technical specifications, and timely execution. Sehrawat remains operationally involved, overseeing procurement, client coordination, and on-site requirements. The business has expanded gradually, relying largely on repeat clients and industry references rather than aggressive scaling.

Alongside hospitality supply, Sehrawat has been involved in hospitality-oriented real estate development, with a focus on small-format, design-led properties. One such project is a riverside resort under development in the Nainital district. The project is planned as a low-density hospitality property, with emphasis on site planning, integration with the natural landscape, and operational feasibility.

In addition, he is working on another hospitality project Riveira in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, located near the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. This development includes a large farmhouse and a wooden house structure, intended for private or limited hospitality use. The project leverages proximity to Delhi while maintaining a rural setting, making it suitable for short-stay and weekend travel.

A consistent aspect of Sehrawat’s work is his involvement in layout planning and basic design coordination, particularly where functionality intersects with guest experience. While not positioned as an architectural venture, design decisions are approached from an operational and usability standpoint.

At this stage, Karan Sehrawat continues to balance his hospitality supply business with the gradual development of resort projects. His work reflects a practical approach focused on execution, sector familiarity, and long-term viability rather than rapid expansion.
