Fatima Sana Shaikh Shines at Kala Ghoda Festival Amid Art, Culture, and Culinary Delights

The vibrant Kala Ghoda Festival continues to be a cultural cornerstone, and today’s lineup of events proved to be nothing short of spectacular. A key highlight was the presence of acclaimed actor Fatima Sana Shaikh, who captivated the audience with her charm and candid reflections in an engaging Q&A session with popular host RJ Rohini Ramnathan. Held at the picturesque Elphinstone College Quadrangle from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the session provided fans with a rare glimpse into her journey in cinema, her inspirations, and her thoughts on life beyond the silver screen.

Fatima’s session wasn’t the only attraction of the day. Many more memorable events dotted the festival, showcasing a rich tapestry of culture, cuisine, and creativity. From culinary delights to thought-provoking discussions, the festival had something for everyone.

At Knead Cafe, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, food enthusiasts were treated to “From Shakshouka to Schug”, an Israeli street food experience curated by the Consulate-General of Israel. The event celebrated the vibrant and flavorful essence of Israeli cuisine, leaving attendees with a newfound appreciation for its rich culinary heritage.

Simultaneously, mythology enthusiasts gathered at DSL Garden for a spellbinding session with renowned author and mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik. Titled “Marriage, Murder, and Mythology”, the session delved into ancient tales and their timeless relevance. Pattanaik’s unique ability to connect mythology with contemporary themes left the audience deeply inspired.

Earlier in the day, the CSMVS Children’s Museum was abuzz with excitement as young minds engaged in a hands-on creative workshop under the Baobab Tree. From 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, children built robots using Lego, sparking their imagination and problem-solving skills in a fun and interactive setting.

The Kala Ghoda Festival continues to deliver an unforgettable experience for art and culture lovers, and today’s lineup stood as a testament to its enduring appeal.
