From Passion to Platform: Anjali Kaur Arora’s Journey in Art Curation and Empowerment

In a world where creativity often gets overshadowed by commerce, few individuals manage to strike a balance between passion and purpose. Anjali Kaur Arora, a Mumbai-based Art Curator and Promoter, has not only achieved that balance but has also created a platform that is uplifting artists globally. The founder of Bouquet Of Art (BOA) Gallery, Anjali’s journey from being an educator to a celebrated curator reflects resilience, vision, and a deep-rooted commitment to the power of art.

Rediscovering Art Amidst Crisis

Anjali’s journey into the art world took a pivotal turn during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the world came to a standstill, she found herself reflecting deeply on her connection with art. “While teaching online, I noticed an unfortunate gap immensely talented artists were struggling with visibility and opportunities,” she recalls. This realization became the catalyst for something much larger than herself—a mission to build a platform that amplifies the voices and visions of underrepresented artists.

Planting the Seeds of BOA Gallery

What began as an idea soon evolved into Bouquet Of Art Gallery a haven for both emerging and established artists. With no financial backing and while balancing the responsibilities of motherhood, Anjali built her platform brick by brick. “Being a mother of three while pursuing a Ph.D. in Fine Arts and handling large-scale exhibitions wasn’t easy. There were days when I felt stretched thin, but the purpose always kept me going,” she shares.

Despite challenges like acquiring sponsorships, managing logistics, and carving a space in a highly competitive art scene, Anjali remained undeterred. Her vision was clear: to create a curated space where Indian and international art could thrive with dignity, professionalism, and global visibility.

Celebrating Achievements and Building Bridges

Today, BOA Gallery has become a reputed name in the Indian and international art circuits. With 25+ curated exhibitions, both national and international, the gallery has showcased talent at prestigious platforms like India Art Festival, World Art Dubai, and more.

Anjali also launched ‘Art Perspective’, a global art magazine that provides artists a stage to share their work, thoughts, and creative philosophies. “The magazine was born out of a need to bring thoughtful, long-form conversations back into the art space. It’s more than promotion it’s about perspective,” she explains.

Under her leadership, the gallery has empowered 100+ artists, many of whom are women balancing careers, creativity, and family life. She has been invited to curate shows at renowned venues including the Nehru Centre and the Constitution Club of India a testament to her credibility and growing influence in the space.

Rooted in Ethics and Empowerment

Beyond curation, Anjali is a strong advocate for ethical and professional practices in the art industry. “Artists need platforms that respect originality and foster ethical promotion. It’s not just about selling art it’s about creating legacies,” she says.

Her upcoming initiative a dedicated educational series on art promotion and valuation aims to bridge knowledge gaps for emerging artists. From pricing artwork to presenting portfolios and understanding the global art market, this series will offer actionable insights for those stepping into the business side of art.

A Mission Beyond Business

Anjali’s motivation stems from her core belief: art has the power to heal, connect, and transform lives. Her goal is not just to promote artists, but to create a sustainable ecosystem where creativity is respected, supported, and monetized fairly.

She also champions swadeshi artistic practices, aiming to bring indigenous Indian art forms to global audiences. “There’s immense beauty and wisdom in our traditional art. With the right platform, it can resonate with the world,” she says passionately.

Looking Ahead

Anjali Kaur Arora’s story is one of vision, hard work, and impact. As she continues to grow her platform, her message to artists is clear: stay authentic, be ethical, and never underestimate the power of your voice.
