Held at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., the annual awards show delivered both surprises and suspense all while dozens of A-list stars prepared to get slimed at a moment’s notice.

While Angelina Jolie hit the orange carpet, it was her two daughters Zahara, 10 and Shiloh, 8, who stole the show, as the 39-year-old made her first public appearance since announcing she had her ovaries removed.
Jolie delivered an empowering speech as she accepted the award for Best Villain in Maleficent as her two daughters watched on.
“I want to say when I was little, like Maleficent, I was told that I was different — and I felt out of place, and too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in. And then one day I realised something, something I hope you all realise. Different is good.”
