Future has opened up about his exceptionally promoted split from ex-fiancee Ciara and uncovered how he discovered peace after their tumultuous separation. The two went separate ways in 2014, which prompted a guardianship fight over their two-year-old child, Future Zahir Wilburn.
In a meeting with Billboard, the 33-year-old stated, “I feel like everything happened for a reason. I’m happy with life now. I’m happy with life, period, even with the end of a relationship…”
The rapper, whose genuine name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn included, “I’m just not going to settle for anything, you know? Even in my life now, I know I can be a better person. I ain’t giving up on myself, so if you give up on me, I ain’t got nothing else to say for you. Because if you give up on something that’s real, it wasn’t real to you.”
Future has referenced Ciara and the separation in a few tunes of his collection HNDRXX.
