Global leader Embed to debut at IAAPI Mumbai, set to revolutionize India’s entertainment industry with cutting-edge cashless solutions

After Dave & Buster’s debuted in India last December with its first international center in Bangalore, strengthening Embed’s presence, TEEG’s Timezone launched its first center in Tripura with VR and bowling in January this year

MUMBAI, February 18, 2025: Embed, the world’s FEC tech partner of choice for the amusement, entertainment, and leisure industries, is set to showcase its solutions for the first time at IAAPI Amusement Expo 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India from 19 to 21 February.

The fifth-largest economy in the world, India is expected to grow exponentially to third largest economy by 2030. “We are proud to kickstart the year by establishing our presence in India! This vibrant and dynamic market is not uncharted territory for us, having supported our customer Dave & Buster’s market launch with their first venue last December in Bangalore, India. So, we are confident in the market’s booming family entertainment scene and excited about the role we’re going to play in its transformational growth,” shares CEO Renee Welsh. “We look forward to seeing how we can tailor-fit our solutions for existing customers and partners entering India, along with new FECs.”

As per Grand View Research, the Indian amusement parks market generated a revenue of USD 6.3 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach USD 11. 4. billion by 2030. The India market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9.9% from 2025 to 2030.

As Embed’s biggest customers and global brands in the FEC industry are now joining the competition to cater to the rising demand for unique dining and entertainment experiences in the country, Embed is debuting in India as well to support these businesses’ tech launch. Long-time Embed customer, US-based family entertainment giant Dave & Buster’s recently opened the first of its planned international locations in India over Christmas of 2024, solidifying Embed’s position in the market. The Bangalore venue is Dave & Buster’s first franchise, in partnership with the world renowned Malpani Group.

The Entertainment & Education Group’s (TEEG) Timezone, another member of the Embed family of FECs, also expanded its presence with its first arcade with VR and bowling in Tripura, India, in January this year. “These major developments open many doors for Embed to elevate the guest experience in India and enable our FEC operators to create world-class entertainment powered by our integrated hardware and software solutions,” says Andy Welsh, CTO at Embed.

“Partnering with the best tech partners to break industry barriers, delivering system reliability, and free product trials and complimentary consultation around the globe to the Embed Family is how we layer value for our customers to enable them to maximise their Embed system,” adds Sara Paz, CMO and Chief Growth Officer.
