There are two kinds of journeys.
One that looks good on paper.
And one that shapes you from the inside.
Mine has always been the second.
Where It All Began
I was born in a small town in Bihar, into a middle-class family where life was not defined by abundance—but by discipline, trade-offs, and resilience.
We didn’t grow up talking about “dream roles” or “career paths.”
We grew up talking about stability, survival, and responsibility.
Every small win had a story behind it.
Getting into a decent school meant sacrifice.
Doing well meant working harder than most.
Dreaming big meant justifying why you deserved to.
And somewhere along the way, you learn something powerful:
When you don’t have access, you build hunger.
And when you build hunger, you don’t give up easily.
The First Shift: Expanding My World
Years later, getting into FMS Delhi changed everything.
For the first time, I was surrounded by people who had access—access to networks, exposure, confidence, and opportunities I had never even imagined.
It was intimidating.
But it was also defining.
Because I realized something very early:
Talent alone doesn’t move careers forward. Access does.
And that thought stayed with me.
The Corporate & Startup Grind
Post-MBA, I stepped into roles that gave me a ringside view of how businesses actually work.
At Sterlite Power, working in the COO’s office, I was part of large-scale digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with global consulting firms like BCG, McKinsey, and KPMG. I saw strategy being built at the highest level.
Then came startups.
Pristine Care. Routematic. Base Educational Services. ApnaJobs. PagarBook.
Here, things were different.
No playbooks. No safety nets. Just speed, chaos, and execution.
I was not just observing businesses—I was building them.
And somewhere between boardroom strategies and startup chaos, I started noticing a pattern.
The Invisible Problem No One Talks About
As I grew in my career and interacted with senior professionals across industries, one uncomfortable truth kept surfacing:
The higher you go, the lonelier it gets.
From the outside, leadership looks powerful.
But inside?
And most importantly…
They don’t have a safe space.
A space where they can:
Despite years of experience, many leaders feel stuck.
Not because they lack capability.
But because they lack the right access.
And that hit me deeply.
Because I had lived the same problem—just at a different stage of life.
The Idea That Changed Everything
What if we could create a space where leaders don’t have to figure everything out alone?
What if access wasn’t accidental—but intentional?
What if meaningful conversations replaced transactional networking?
That’s where Dawdle.live was born.
And interestingly, the name itself carries the philosophy:
In a world that is constantly rushing, sometimes you need to slow down… to build the right connections.
Building Dawdle.live: More Than a Platform
Dawdle.live is not just another professional network.
It is an ecosystem designed around one simple belief:
Leaders grow faster when they grow together.
Today, we are a community of 150,000+ senior leaders across industries and geographies.
But numbers are not what define us.
What defines us is what happens inside the platform:
A Place Where Leaders Can Be Real
Not curated. Not filtered. Not performative.
Just real conversations between people who understand the weight of leadership.
A Place Where Experience is Shared, Not Hidden
Through:
We bring out stories, lessons, and perspectives that don’t exist in textbooks.
Because real learning comes from real experiences.
A Place Where Help is Normalized
On Dawdle.live:
Without hesitation. Without judgment.
A Place That Impacts Beyond Individuals
When a leader becomes better:
And over time, this creates a ripple effect across the entire ecosystem.
Why This Matters So Much to Me
Dawdle.live is not just a startup I built.
It is a problem I have lived.
From struggling for access in my early years…
To seeing leaders struggle for the right access later in their careers…
This journey came full circle.
And that’s why this mission is personal.
No leader—regardless of where they are in their journey—should ever feel alone.
The Bigger Vision
We are just getting started.
The goal is not just to build a platform.
The goal is to build an ecosystem where:
Because at the end of the day—
It’s not just about building successful careers.
It’s about building fulfilled leaders.
If You’re Reading This…
And you’re someone who:
Then Dawdle.live is built for you.
One Final Thought
Looking back, I often think about that young boy from Bihar—trying to figure things out without access, without guidance, without a clear path.
If a platform like Dawdle.live existed back then…
Maybe the journey would have been easier.
But then again—
Maybe it was meant to be difficult…
so I could build something that makes it easier for others.
