India’s Outbound Travel Rises 30% – Visament Launches Smart Visa Services

Jaipur, India, 6th May, 2025: — With India’s outbound travel seeing a 30% surge in the past year, visa demand has reached new heights, probing the need for faster, more accessible visa processing solutions.

Visament has launched smart visa services for over 50 countries, aiming to streamline and simplify the process through a tech-centric approach.

The launch coincides with a period of rapid recovery and growth in international mobility. According to VFS Global, visa applications in India during the first half of 2024 exceeded pre-pandemic levels, marking a 2% increase over H1 2019 and an 11% jump from the same period in 2023. The trend signals not just a rebound but a transformation in how Indian travelers approach international travel and documentation.

Technology has played a critical role in this shift. Online visa applications have grown exponentially, with e-tourist visa arrivals reaching 227.23 thousand in 2021-2022. This indicates a strong adoption of digital services.

Visament’s launch is seen by analysts as a timely response to the growing complexity of visa procedures. With end-to-end online visa services, the platform enables users to upload documents, track applications, and receive real-time support, reducing the need for in-person visits except where mandatory.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Mission in India continues to process over one million visas annually, expanding services to reduce wait times. However, backlogs persist in certain categories, particularly tourist and student visas—making intermediary platforms that facilitate application accuracy and document readiness more critical than ever.

“Applicants today expect speed, transparency, and support throughout the visa journey,” said a senior consultant at a travel research firm. “Smart platforms that reduce friction in the application process are no longer optional—they’re essential.”

Visament’s coverage includes popular destinations in Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and North America, positioning it as a convenient tool for first-time and frequent travelers alike. As international movement rebounds and summer travel nears its peak, robust and accessible visa services—especially those offered online—are poised to play a central role in shaping the future of outbound travel from India
