Internationally Acclaimed Artist Roop Chand Honoured with ‘Operation Sindoor Samman 2025’

New Delhi, September, 2025 – Art is not confined to colors and canvas; it is also a mirror of society and a powerful voice for change. Embodying this philosophy, internationally acclaimed painter, educator, and social reformer Roop Chand was invited as the Guest of Honour at the Operation Sindoor Samman Samaroh 2025, where he was also conferred with the prestigious Operation Sindoor Samman 2025 Award.

The event was led by BMC Foundation President Mr. Ashok Chugh and witnessed the gracious presence of eminent dignitaries from across the nation.

Early Life and Education

Born in Delhi in 1975, Roop Chand discovered his passion for art at an early age. His creativity was evident during his school years. He pursued a Diploma in Fine Arts and later completed a Post-Graduation in Fine Arts.

For 17 years, he worked as an Art Educator at Maharaja Agrasen Public School, Delhi. However, his vision and passion for art inspired him to resign from his job and establish the “Roop Chand Institute of Fine Art” and “Roop Chand Art Gallery”, institutions that refined his artistry and nurtured thousands of budding artists.
