John Geils Jr., who played guitar in the J. Geils Band, was found dead in his Massachusetts home, as per the Groton (Mass.) Police Department. He was 71. The police office said in an announcement that he likely kicked the bucket of regular causes.
Geils is best known for the J. Geils Band’s No. 1 hit, “Centerfold,” which burned through a month and a half on the Billboard Hot 100 singles diagram in 1982 and 25 weeks on the graph aggregately. The band lined up the accomplishment with “Freeze-Frame,” the title track to its 1981 collection, which topped at No. 4.
