Kabir Banam Tulsi: A Family Story Born in the Heart of Banaras

Banaras is not merely a location. It is an emotion, a philosophy, and a way of life. With its layered history and deeply ingrained cultural rhythms, the city often becomes a silent narrator of the stories set within it. The upcoming web series Kabir Banam Tulsi embraces this spirit wholeheartedly, using Banaras not just as a backdrop, but as an intrinsic part of its storytelling.

Filmed across multiple locations in the city, Kabir Banam Tulsi is a contemporary family drama produced by Sur Productions in association with Divine Films & Entertainment. The series is slated for release towards the end of 2026, and early insights suggest a narrative that prioritises emotional honesty over dramatic excess.

At its core, the story is a heartfelt family drama that delves into relationships, values, and emotional complexities. It portrays how a minor conflict, when influenced by external forces, spirals into a larger turmoil testing the strength of family bonds.

One of the strongest elements of Kabir Banam Tulsi is its authentic portrayal of Banaras. The production extensively captures the city’s narrow lanes, historic architecture, spiritual spaces, and lived-in neighbourhoods. The intent is clear. To present Banaras in its most honest form, preserving its cultural texture while weaving it seamlessly into the story.

The series features an ensemble cast that brings together experienced performers and fresh faces. Chandan Roy , Anushka Kaushik , Rajesh Jais, Shubhrajyoti Barat , Neetu Pandey, Tarun Kumar, Sunil Chauhan , Shikha Pandey , Gauri Shankar , and Swaraj Singh will be seen in key roles. Each character has been developed with emotional depth, ensuring that the performances feel organic and reflective of real-life experiences.

Backed by a strong creative team, the project is produced by Arup Sur , Atul Pandey , J.S. Pandey, and Shipra Sur . Direction is helmed by Ram S. Nayak , whose vision focuses on realism and emotional continuity. Executive Producer Deepak Singh and Line Producer Yogesh Pandey ,further contribute to the project’s structured and detail-oriented execution.

In a digital landscape increasingly dominated by fast-paced genres, Kabir Banam Tulsi stands out for its restraint and sincerity. It is a story that allows moments to breathe, emotions to unfold naturally, and relationships to evolve without haste.

With the shoot now complete, anticipation around the series continues to grow. Kabir Banam Tulsi promises a viewing experience that is introspective, culturally rooted, and emotionally resonant. With its planned release in late 2026, the series is shaping up to be one that stays with audiences long after the screen fades to black.
