Martial Arts Maestro Arooj Sets New Records, Gains Global Recognition

Arooj, a distinguished martial artist from Kottoor Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, has once again etched his name in the annals of martial arts history. An accomplished member of the All India Kung Fu Federation, Arooj has dedicated over a decade to mastering and teaching Kung Fu and Yoga, earning numerous world records and national awards along the way.

Born to Kuttan and Usha, Arooj was introduced to martial arts at a young age. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion, leading him to pursue various martial arts disciplines with unwavering dedication. Under the tutelage of Grand Masters M. G. Dileep and V. N. Vijayan from the Kungfu-Yoga Federation of Kerala, and primarily instructed by Binu Kumar, Arooj honed his skills and rose to prominence in the martial arts community.

Arooj’s training is extensive and diverse, holding several black belts in various martial arts disciplines. His accolades include a 2nd Dan Black Belt from the Kung Fu & Yoga Federation, Thiruvananthapuram, a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Japan Shotokan Karate, a 1st Dan Black Belt in Senshikan Karate, and a 1st Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. In addition, Arooj is a proficient coach in Sqay, Muay Thai, Wushu, Tai Chi, and Wing Chun Kung Fu.

Arooj’s leadership roles are as impressive as his martial arts skills. He serves as the Secretary of the Kung Fu & Yoga Federation, Thiruvananthapuram district; Branch Chief of the World Jeet Kune Do Association India; Branch Chief of the World Martial-Arts Masters Association India; and Official Representative and Appointed Director of the Kyusho Academy in India.

Arooj’s remarkable journey is highlighted by over 40 world records and 11 national awards. Some of his notable records include the India Book of Records, Kalam’s World Record, Nobel World Record, Oh My God Book of Records, Exclusive World Record, King World Record, Triumph World Record, Assist World Record, Hope International World Records, Kerala Book of Records, British Book of Records, London Book of Records, and Arabian World Record 2024. His accolades include the Best Achievers Award 2022, Abdul Kalam Award 2022, Global Award 2022, and the Gandhi Mandela International Award 2023, among others.

Arooj’s achievements are supported by his loving family, including his wife Sangeetha Sathyan, son Ayaan as, and brother Arun K. Committed to sharing his knowledge and empowering others, Arooj runs a popular YouTube channel, “Self Defense by Arooj,” where he provides valuable insights into self-defense techniques.

With honorary doctorates from the American Book of Records (New York) and the Asian International University recognizing his contributions, Arooj continues to inspire and lead in the martial arts world. As he sets new benchmarks and garners international accolades, Arooj remains a beacon of excellence and dedication in the global martial arts community.
