Melania Trump said thanks to the actor and model Emily Ratajkowski on Twitter on Monday night for shielding her against a journalist’s disparaging remark.
Ratajkowski said on Twitter before in the day that a columnist for The New York Times, whom she sat alongside at an occasion Sunday, had stated, “Melania is a hooker.” Ratajkowski, who did not recognize the journalist, protected the first lady.
In a response on Twitter on Monday night, Trump lauded ladies who bolster each other, specifying Ratajkowski by her Twitter handle. “Applause to all women around the world who speak up, stand up and support other women!” she wrote.
