Michael Strahan and Sara Haines are no outsiders to morning TV, and their new show GMA Day will be tied in with having a decent time.
“Our greatest thing is to not mess it up and get excessively extravagant with it,” Strahan tells PEOPLE. “Just us being as one and our relationship and our identities mixed into uplifting news and upbeat news for the day.”
Assuming control over the third hour of Good Morning America, GMA Day will communicate at 1 p.m. ET weekdays on ABC.
Notwithstanding interviews, cooking, way of life and exercise sections, “there will be takeaways,” says Haines. “You will get the opportunity to learn, yet above all else you will grin and chuckle through this show.”
