Danny Rand is having a harsh time in the most recent trailer for Iron Fist, the following Marvel superhero series coming to Netflix. In the video above, we see Danny meandering the lanes of New York resembling he’s crisp off a stretch at Burning Man (read: K’un-Lun), and for the most part punching things with his enormous, gleaming clench hands. Additionally highlighted in the trailer: an awkward mashup of electronica, rap, and Asian apportionment.
Iron Fist proceeds with the present line of shows paving the way to a Defenders smaller than normal arrangement, alongside Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. The show stars Finn Jones as lead Danny Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, and Daredevil alum Wai Ching Ho as the baffling Madame Gao. Colleen Wing and Claire Temple are particularly of note, as Colleen plays the accomplice to Luke Cage’s Misty Knight and Claire has showed up in each pertinent arrangement up until this point.
