In the ever expanding world of mutual fund distribution, remarkable journeys emerge from leaders like Ashish Shastri, Prasanta Mukherjee,Sourav SenGupta and Sanil Thomas. Hailing from Gandhinagar, Kolkata and Kerala. these NJ Wealth partners have redefined success through perseverance, technology adoption, and a deep commitment to client well being. With a combined AUM in the hundreds of crores and thousands of families guided, they stand as shining examples of how dedication and the right support system can transform careers and communities.

Ashish Shastri from Gandhinagar

Ashish Shastri’s inspiring journey in finance began in 2015 with NJ Wealth, at an AUM of just ₹1.35 crore. Today, he oversees ₹150 crore AUM, serving 1,200+ clients globally entirely online, without staff or office.

His success was hard-earned. After completing B.Sc. in 1989, Ashish worked across banks and companies, only to see each organisation shut down. Entrepreneurial ventures also struggled due to limited demand in his hometown. In 2005, he found recognition in IPO distribution, but the shift to ASBA in 2015 drastically reduced his business.

A turning point came when NJ Wealth introduced him to mutual funds. Leveraging NJ’s digital platform, he transitioned IPO clients into long-term investors. Despite resistance in a market dominated by LIC and post office savings, his decade of trust and NJ’s training resources propelled growth.

At 59, Ashish reflects: “My success began after 52. Now, life is luxurious.”

Prasanta Mukherjee from Kolkata

From banking corridors to becoming one of Kolkata’s most respected mutual fund distributors, Prasanta Mukherjee’s journey is defined by vision, persistence, and the support of NJ Wealth. After five years at HDFC Bank, he realized corporate life wasn’t aligned with his aspirations. In 2013, he entered mutual fund distribution with NJ Wealth, a decision that transformed his career.

The initial years were challenging, but by 2015, his commitment and NJ’s robust platform changed everything. Today, Prasanta facilitates ₹175 crore AUM, a ₹1.5 crore monthly SIP book, and serves 1,850+ clients across India and overseas. From metros to rural towns and CRPF camps, he has built lasting trust, guided by NJ’s philosophy that every investor whether with ₹1,000 or ₹10 lakh deserves equal care.

His client success stories, from a ₹10,000 SIP funding education to portfolios worth crores, highlight how passion, persistence, and NJ’s digital empowerment make financial objectives achievable.

Sourav SenGupta from Kolkata

Resilience and vision define the journey of Sourav SenGupta, who transitioned from banking to becoming a successful mutual fund distributor. Starting his career with ICICI Bank in 2010 and later at Deutsche Bank, he soon realised that corporate targets offered little personal fulfilment. Seeking independence, he worked as an LIC agent before a mentor’s guidance steered him toward mutual funds. In 2014, he joined NJ Wealth, a move that reshaped his career.

Today, Sourav oversees ₹75 crore in AUM, a ₹55 lakh monthly SIP book, and serves 500+ clients across India and overseas, including NRIs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, the US, and the UK. His business thrives on referrals, with success stories like a young professional who turned a ₹5,000 SIP in 2015 into a ₹1 crore portfolio by age 34.

Sourav credits NJ Wealth’s robust technology and backend support for his growth, enabling him to build long-term client relationships with trust and respect.

Sanil Thomas from Kerala

Kerala-based Sanil Thomas transformed his search for financial stability into a thriving wealth distribution business with resilience, patience, and the right platform. Beginning his investment journey in 2009, the turning point came in 2012 when he cleared the NISM Certification. Though challenges delayed his start, in November 2014 he joined NJ Wealth, a decision he calls life-changing.

Leaving behind a secure IT career was not easy, especially in a region dominated by fixed deposits and real estate. But with NJ Wealth’s training, compliance support, and robust digital tools, Sanil steadily built trust and educated clients about mutual funds. A breakthrough came with his 40th client, when NJ’s paperless platform and real-time tracking transformed operations.

Today, he oversees ₹52 crore AUM, a ₹75 lakh SIP book, and serves 300+ active clients, including NRIs. Sanil believes, “This business is like an investment. Patience and consistency build not just income, but a legacy of trust.”
