Rajiv Mehta and Lilavati Hospital Open Their Hearts to Mumbai with Free Heart Camp

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre opened its doors to more than 800 citizens with a Free Heart Health Camp held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the hospital’s 5th floor in Bandra West.

The camp provided vital screenings — ECG, Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL Cholesterol, and HDL Cholesterol — completely free of cost, ensuring early detection and spreading awareness in the fight against cardiovascular disease.

This initiative was organised under the stellar leadership of Smt. Charuben Mehta, Permanent Founder Trustee for Life and Chairperson of the esteemed Board of Trustees. The camp was inaugurated by her eldest son, Shri Rajiv Mehta, Permanent Trustee, Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre, who carried forward the enduring legacy of his parents, Founder Permanent Trustees Late Shri Kishorbhai Mehta and Smt. Charuben Mehta.

Rajiv Mehta said:

“The heart is the rhythm of life — it beats even before we are born and carries us till our last breath. On this World Heart Day, we invited people to pause, listen to their hearts, and care for the pulse that sustains their dreams. At Lilavati, our mission is simple — healing with humanity, where prevention becomes the first medicine.”

Chief Guest, actor Shaleen Bhanot, added:

“To see a hospital of Lilavati’s stature giving back to society with such compassion was truly moving. Health is our greatest wealth, and today was a reminder to cherish it.”

Guest of Honour, veteran actress Sujata Mehta, said:

“I was touched by how seamlessly the hospital blended expertise with empathy. Initiatives like this are lifelines for the community.”

Actor Hetal Puniwala, Guest of Honour, remarked:

“Lilavati’s motto of ‘more than healthcare, human care’ came alive today. It was inspiring to see people walk away with not just reports but with renewed awareness.”

Miss India Pia Roy, Guest of Honour, shared:

“As a young woman, I feel inspired to see institutions prioritising preventive health. It encourages the next generation to embrace responsibility for their wellbeing.”

Pooja Mehta concluded:

“At Lilavati, every initiative is built on the foundation of love, care, and legacy. This camp was not just about heart health — it was about opening our hearts to the community and reaffirming that true healthcare goes beyond treatment, it is about humanity.”

Mumbai’s premier 323-bedded multi-speciality hospital, Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre, once again lived up to its motto: “More than healthcare, human care.” Established in 1978 by the Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust, the hospital has grown into one of India’s most respected healthcare institutions, blending advanced medical expertise with a compassionate ethos of service.
