Renowned artist Kanchan Mehra’s painting exhibition at the 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025

Renowned artist Kanchan Mehra’s painting exhibition emerged as a major highlight on the second day of the 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025, captivating art enthusiasts and international dignitaries alike at Marwah Film City in Noida. These impressive artworks were highly appreciated by H.E. Mahishini Colon, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, renowned actor Darshan Jariwala, youth icon Srishti Kaur, and Sharifa Eznida Wafa, Deputy High Commissioner of Malaysia, who praised the depth, emotion, and global sensibility reflected in the paintings. 

 

The paintings by Mrs. Kanchan Mehra and Mr. Dilip Sharma of Vimala Art Forum were a major attraction at the 18th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) held at Marwah Studios. Their special exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of prominent personalities from cinema, art, and global diplomacy. The event was attended by Padma Shri Madhur Bhandarkar, Sunita Ahuja, Abhay Sinha (President, IMPPA and President-Elect, FFI 2026), Tushar Amrish Goyal, and Mukesh Tyagi, who collectively lauded the emotional depth and creative excellence of the artworks. International dignitaries present included H.E. Juris Bone (Latvia), H.E. Alberto Antonio Guani (Uruguay), H.E. Carlito Nunes (Timor-Leste), and Commander K.L. Ganjoo, Honorary Consul General of the Union of Comoros, along with renowned film director and director of the Global Film Festival, Ashok Tyagi, who commended the universality and cultural richness displayed in the paintings. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, founder of Noida Film City and President of GFFN, said that such exhibitions enrich the festival by seamlessly blending cinema with fine arts, providing a powerful platform for artists like Kanchan Mehra to connect with international audiences and reinforcing the festival’s commitment to promoting creativity, culture, and artistic excellence across borders. 

 

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, founder of Noida Film City and President of GFFN, reiterated that such exhibitions enrich the festival by seamlessly integrating cinema with fine arts, providing a powerful platform for artists like Kanchan Mehra to connect with international audiences and strengthening the festival’s commitment to promoting creativity, culture, and artistic excellence across borders. Ashok Tyagi remarked that Kanchan Mehra’s paintings bring vibrancy to the colors. On this occasion, Rahul Kumar Jangra, Prashant Malik, and Mayank Bokolia also appreciated the exhibition, calling it a proud moment for Indian art on a global platform. Senior journalist and film critic Dr. Suniel Parashar, who has been the media coordinator for all 18 editions of GFFN, expressed his pride in the festival and praised Kanchan Mehra’s efforts in taking the Vimala Art Forum to an international level.
