Atul’s entrepreneurial journey began early. As a 13-year-old, he dreamed of financial independence. After completing his 12th in 2011, he ventured into online sales of luxury brand imitations and used electronics—well before e-commerce giants like Amazon and Flipkart became household names in India.
In 2013, Atul joined the family business, Avon Containers, founded by his father, Mr. Anand Prakash Gupta. At that time, the company was in crisis. A severe flood in Delhi had devastated their manufacturing plant, reducing their machinery, raw materials, and finished stock to nothing. The future looked grim.
With no financial support from banks, friends, or extended family, Atul faced a daunting challenge. But with his father’s guidance, unwavering belief in destiny, and a foundation of honesty, he began the journey to rebuild. Vendors, sensing his sincerity and drive, extended their trust. The company restarted operations with just four machines, a small team, and a heavy burden of debt.
In 2014, as Atul started carving his own space in the market, he established Avon Plastic as a proprietary venture, laying the foundation for what would become a major force in the plastic packaging industry.
Through tireless work—making client calls, visiting doors, and maintaining a sincere approach—Avon’s presence began to grow. Plant expansions followed this growth:
●1,400 sq. ft. in 2013
●5,000 sq. ft. in 2016
●10,000 sq. ft. in 2017
●15,000 sq. ft. in 2019
●20,000 sq. ft. in 2020
●35,000 sq. ft. of operational space by 2024
Today, Avon Plastic is equipped with over 50 advanced plastic manufacturing machines, incorporating the latest technologies to meet diverse client needs. From a humble restart, it has become a state-of-the-art production hub.
This transformation has also translated into financial success—rising from ₹10 million in turnover in FY 2013–14 to ₹150 million in FY 2024–25. Along the way, Avon has served over 1,000 clients, spanning various industries and regions.
But Atul Gupta’s vision goes beyond numbers. Guided by ethics and a human-first business philosophy, he has positioned Avon Group as a responsible corporate citizen. He actively promotes public awareness about plastic use, advocating for correct practices of reuse and recycling. His mission is to challenge the negative perceptions around plastic and educate society on its responsible usage—aligning with the very reason plastic was invented.
Atul’s goal is clear: to build Avon Group of Companies into a global benchmark of sustainable, ethical, and human-centric business practices. From flood-ravaged ruins to an industry leader, his journey is a testament to perseverance, purpose, and the power of belief.
