Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad: A Symbol of Social Service, Honored with the ‘Popular Civilian Excellence Award’

Mumbai :Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad, who has been selflessly working in the field of social service, was honored with the ‘Popular Civilian Excellence Award’ by Dr. Anil Kashi Murarka and Mandakini. This award is dedicated to her immense contribution to society and her selfless service. Award was organised by Santosh Mishra.

Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad has been associated with the Republican Party of India (Athawale faction) for the past 25 years and currently serves as the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra. She expresses her appreciation for working under the leadership of Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, whom she considers a strong and visionary leader. She believes that under his guidance, she is able to continue serving society effectively. 

Service to the Poor as a Sacred Duty 

Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad considers serving the poor her supreme duty. She always prays to the Almighty for strength so that she can continue serving the needy with even greater dedication. 

Recognitions and Awards 

Her selfless service has been recognized multiple times, and she has received several prestigious awards for her contributions to social work, women empowerment, and education. 

Contributions to Education and Healthcare 

Beyond social service, Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad has adopted six villages in Kolhapur, where she provides free education to children. She also runs a nursing school dedicated to training skilled professionals in the healthcare sector. 

Selfless Service During the COVID-19 Pandemic 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she arranged food, clothing, and medicines for the needy. Her relentless efforts brought relief to hundreds of people, proving her deep commitment to social service. 

A Strong Advocate for Women Empowerment 

Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad has always stood at the forefront of the fight for women’s rights and safety. She has raised several crucial issues that have led to justice for women while ensuring their dignity and self-respect remain intact. 

Inspired by Her Father’s Legacy 

She draws her inspiration for social service from her father. Following the path he showed, she has dedicated her life to the upliftment of society. 

Honoring her contributions, she was awarded the ‘Popular Civilian Excellence Award,’ a testament to her relentless dedication and hard work. She has previously been the recipient of numerous other prestigious accolades. 

Currently, Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad serves as the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra in the Republican Party of India (Athawale faction). 

Always Standing with People in Times of Crisis 

During various disasters in Maharashtra, Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad has always stood with the people. When floods struck regions like Konkan and Kolhapur, she personally delivered essential supplies such as food and clothing to affected areas, earning her a place in people’s hearts. Her followers and associates always stand firmly by her side. 

Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad believes that her primary goal is to ensure that government schemes reach her district and surrounding areas. In a media interaction, she praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, stating that she works in line with their ideologies as they play a crucial role in the country’s progress. 

She further expressed that corruption and criminal activities are gradually diminishing under their leadership. Praising the Maharashtra government, she highlighted its achievements and emphasized that both the central and state governments are directly working for the welfare of the people. 

She specifically mentioned the Ayushman Bharat scheme and Maharashtra’s LadkiBahin Yojana, which are ensuring benefits reach every citizen. 

Additionally, she urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to focus on improving the education system and making education more accessible and free so that children can contribute to the nation’s development, ultimately making India a global leader.
