Shah Rukh Khan calls for ‘calm’ after protests over his latest film

 

Bollywood genius Shah Rukh Khan was at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Monday to get the 24th Crystal Award – which commends the accomplishments of driving specialists who are connect developers and good examples.

Amid his visit, he additionally set aside opportunity to discuss his most recent film “Padmaavat,” which has started dissents and savagery in India for its delineation of a fourteenth Century Hindu ruler having a place with the high Rajput rank and the Muslim ruler Alauddin Khilji.

“Everybody just needs to calm it down a bit,” said the veteran star, who explained that it’s not uncommon for films in his home country to cause “dissent.”

“India is extremely diverse. Whenever you take a film about history or real life character or a biopic you’ll always have some people bringing it up. And I think this one went a longish way.”

Khan says he’s confident the filmmakers will be able to appease those offended by the film.
