Siddharth Jain Appointed Head of ‘Naveen Khel Vikas Sankalp’ in Uttar Pradesh

In a first for Uttar Pradesh, the government has chosen Shri Siddharth Jain, Indian Tennis Ambassador and youth icon, to lead the brand-new Naveen Khel Vikas Sankalp. This special project, under the control of the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, aims to improve sports infrastructure, bring sports to more people, and encourage hidden talent in various regions of the state.

The fact that Shri Siddharth Jain was chosen for the role demonstrates how seriously Yogi Adityanath values making Uttar Pradesh a center of sports. The government reaffirms its leadership goals and concern for athletes by joining forces with Shri Siddharth Jain.

A ceremony took place in Lucknow on May 26, 2025, and Shri Jain had the opportunity to meet government officials headed by Hon’ble Sports Minister Shri Girish Chandra Yadav. This interaction involved laying out the strategic vision and future plans of the Naveen Khel Vikas Sankalp, which won praise for its aim to grow dynamic and inclusive sports in the area.

Because the Naveen Khel Vikas Sankalp is set up as an autonomous group, it has more flexibility than other bodies. With this organizational independence, Shri Jain is expected to launch important programs and make lasting changes at the grassroots level.

At the press conference, Shri Siddharth Jain expressed gratitude and showed his excitement, saying: “It is a great honour to contribute to the vision of Hon’ble CM Yogi Adityanath ji and to serve the people of Uttar Pradesh through sports. Our goal is to bring the talent of UP to the global stage through infrastructure, training, and opportunity.”

Several important areas will be the main focus of the initiative. The project plans to upgrade and replace local sports areas so athletes at different levels can benefit from first-class infrastructure. In addition, the program will send representatives to rural and small cities to look for talented individuals and give them a chance to succeed.

Another important part is to use international coaching methods to help Uttar Pradesh athletes experience top training standards worldwide. Also, athletes’ well-being, including their mental health, will be taken into serious consideration since young sportspeople have holistic needs.

The initiative also aims to help Uttar Pradesh host more well-known sporting events from around India and the world, adding value to its reputation and its economy.

Naveen Khel Vikas Sankalp was launched to mark Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to leading with sports and young people. Shri Siddharth Jain’s guidance and the government’s continued support are likely to bring new growth to sports in Uttar Pradesh.
