Sindhi Youth Festival with Sindhi Cultural Ajrakh Fashion Show Announced Hosted by Sindhi Ajrakh Designer Pooja Motwani (Delhi) & Arjan Nankani (Spain). Focus: Preserving Sindhiyat & Inspiring Sindhi Youth
Delhi, India — A special interactive meet was hosted by renowned Sindhi Ajrakh Designer Pooja Motwani from Delhi and Arjan Nankani from Spain, bringing together Sindhi delegates and community leaders to discuss the revival and promotion of Sindhiyat — the spirit of Sindhi culture, tradition, and unity.
The key agenda of the gathering was to explore how to unite Sindhis globally and inspire greater involvement of Sindhi youth in cultural, educational, and social initiatives. After an engaging exchange of ideas, the delegates collectively decided to organize the Sindhi Youth Festival in Delhi — a vibrant celebration dedicated to showcasing Sindhi art, culture, business, and heritage under one grand platform.
A major highlight of the festival will be the Sindhi Cultural Ajrakh Fashion Show, designed and curated by Pooja Motwani, who is the first Sindhi youth to initiate the Ajrakh Cultural Fashion Show movement — blending heritage textiles with modern design to revive and promote Sindhi artistry worldwide.
Pooja Motwani has recently completed a two-month international fashion tour across the USA, in collaboration with reputed Sindhi organizations in Houston and other major cities, receiving immense love and appreciation from the community. Her growing recognition has led to invitations to showcase Sindhi Ajrakh fashion at the upcoming Sindhi Conventions in Australia, Toronto, and Dubai in 2026, marking another milestone in her journey of promoting Sindhiyat through fashion.
The festival is being organized by Sindhi Aman Ji Asha in collaboration with Rahat Aid Foundation. This initiative aims to bring together young Sindhi talents from across India and abroad — celebrating Sindhiyat through creativity, culture, and community connection.
The meet witnessed the gracious presence of several prominent Sindhi personalities, including S. Kumar (Banaras), Shrikant Bhatia, Suresh Khatri, Sumit, Naresh Jotwani, Sunil Mamtani, Rani Bhambhani, Kishore Ajwani, Jayesh Sharma, Rani Bhambani and Mahesh Rajani, among others — each sharing valuable insights on preserving cultural identity and empowering the next generation.
Speaking at the event, Pooja Motwani emphasized:
“It’s time for us to come together not just to celebrate our roots, but to make our culture relevant for the younger generation. Sindhiyat lives through connection and creativity.”
Arjan Nankani added:
“This meet is just the beginning. Our goal is to create a global Sindhi network that supports youth engagement, cultural revival, and community growth.”
Shrikant Bhatia, the well-known Sindhi media personality and former Vice Chairman of NCPSL, added that he and his team will actively support in promoting the festival and bringing young Sindhi talent on board, ensuring wider reach and youth engagement across the community.
The event concluded with a collective commitment to continue such cultural collaborations globally and to make the upcoming Sindhu Youth Festival with Sindhi Cultural Ajrakh Fashion Show a landmark event for the community — celebrating the timeless beauty of Sindhi heritage and inspiring the youth to carry it forward with pride
