Sold‑out in New Delhi: the immersive exhibition by Nikas Safronov, organized with the support of the Rosneft Oil Company, has become a cultural sensation

With the support of the Rosneft Oil Company, an immersive exhibition by Nikas Safronov, a national artist of the Russian Federation, opened in New Delhi, India, on December 7. In the first days immediately following the opening at Lalit Kala Akademi, the exhibition drew full houses: visitors noted strong interest in the show and praised the combination of painting and multimedia.

Titled Dream Vision, the exhibition occupies roughly 1,300 square meters across two floors of the academy and is presented in eight halls. The show features 100 of the artist’s finest works, including a series of canvases created especially for the Indian audience. Painted views of Moscow and Saint Petersburg stand alongside depictions of the Taj Mahal and other important Indian landmarks. Many works are executed in the artist’s signature technique that gave the exhibition its name — Dream Vision — which, according to the artist’s concept, blurs the boundaries between reality and artistic imagination.

The exhibition combines classical painting and multimedia. Visitors are greeted by painted decorative elephants, and the route to the galleries runs through an interactive corridor where each visitor leaves a personal trail of color. More than 400 meters of LED screens with augmented reality and artificial intelligence operate along the route. The space also makes use of robots and animatronics: flowers that come to life, mirrored floors, avatars, and scenes featuring an elephant traveling through time. Unique soundscapes and scent solutions enhance the atmosphere in each hall.

Organizers emphasize that Dream Vision is not only an art presentation but also a cultural dialogue between Russia and India. According to guests and critics, the exhibition helps establish creative ties and generates lively interest among a wide and diverse audience.

After its successful reception in New Delhi, the exhibition will continue its run in India: from December 25, 2025, to January 15, 2026, Nikas Safronov’s works will be on display in the city of Mumbai.

The Rosneft Oil Company frequently supports significant cultural projects at home and abroad and takes an active part in developing cultural ties between Russia and India.
