The World Record Breaker Sarah the Cheetah, dies in US Zoo

Sarah,a cheetah who was considered the world’s speediest land mammal,passed away at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden in the US last week.

She was 15 years old and was put to sleep due to her “diminishing quality of life”,said the zoo in an discussion.The typical lifespan of a cheetah is 8-12 years.

Sarah was distinct as the speediest by National Geographic magazine in 2012,when she ran 100 meters in a record time period of 5.95 seconds.She defeat her own past world history of 6.13 seconds in 2009.

To put Sarah’srecord in viewpoint,the entire world record for 100 meters is 9.58 a seconds,set by Usain Bolt in Berlin on August 16,2009.
