From glass skin routines to heatless curl hacks, viral beauty trends dominate social media—and Natalie King has seen (and tried) them all. As an online model and influencer who lives at the intersection of style, skincare, and content creation, Natalie is no stranger to experimenting. But not every trend makes the cut.
“I love playing with new looks and testing what’s out there,” she says, “but some trends are more gimmick than gold. Just because something is viral doesn’t mean it’s good for you—or your skin.”
So what’s worth the hype, and what should be left in the drafts folder? Here are Natalie King’s honest, unfiltered takes on today’s most buzzed-about beauty trends.
Natalie is a big fan of skin cycling—a routine where you alternate between exfoliation, retinoids, and recovery nights to give your skin time to breathe.
“This trend is smart. It’s rooted in dermatology and helps people avoid overdoing it with harsh actives. Plus, it’s sustainable—it’s not just a fad.”
She encourages followers to research and slowly build their routines rather than jumping in all at once.
While under-eye tape has taken over TikTok for its instant lift effect, Natalie isn’t sold.
“Sure, it looks great for one picture. But tugging on that delicate skin regularly? It’s just not worth the long-term damage,” she says.
Instead, she recommends a good eye cream and targeted massage for a natural lift that doesn’t strain your skin.
One trend Natalie absolutely loves? Lip oils.
“They’re hydrating, glossy, and give you that ‘clean girl’ finish without being sticky like old-school gloss. It’s a win all around.”
She often keeps a tinted lip oil in her bag and uses it on camera and off.
While contouring isn’t going anywhere, Natalie believes the days of harsh, heavy applications are behind us.
“It’s 2025. We’re going for dimension, not disguise,” she laughs. “Over-contouring can make everyone look the same. A soft sculpt feels more modern—and more flattering.”
Her advice? Blend like your life depends on it, and let your natural features shine.
DIY skincare using ingredients like lemon, turmeric, or coffee grounds can go viral quickly, but Natalie urges caution.
“I get it—kitchen beauty is fun and cheap. But your skin isn’t a salad. Just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s safe,” she says.
She recommends using products formulated and tested for skin rather than risking irritation from DIY concoctions.
Natalie believes there’s nothing wrong with trying out new trends—but only if they align with your skin’s needs and your personal style.
“The best beauty trend is the one that actually works for you,” she says. “Don’t follow hype blindly. Ask: does this make me feel good? Is it helping my skin? Is it true to my vibe?”
In a world where beauty trends change by the week, Natalie King reminds us that confidence never goes out of style—and neither does common sense.
