Vancouver 2015 summer tour, announced by Shania Twain

Shania Twain is returning to the road. This morning, the woman behind the bestselling country album of all time, 1997’s Come on Over, announced a 48-city summer tour. But the Rock This Country Tour, her first in more than 10 years, will also be her last. The singer told Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts that it’ll be like one big afterparty. “This is my last tour, so I’m going to make the most of it,” Twain said. “I want to go out with a bang.”

Twain is calling it her farewell tour, although she plans to release a new album in time for her 50th birthday in August.

“This is going to be a big, big tour for me,” she said Wednesday on Good Morning America. “It’s going to be my last tour so I’m going to make the most of it. It’s going to be a celebration for me. I feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I want to go out with a bang.”

The Ottawa concert is Twain’s only outdoor performance in North America, and the first major concert to take place at the newly redeveloped Nepean equestrian facility, Wesley Clover Parks. A limited number of camping spots will be available.

Twain boasts platinum sales in more than 30 countries and has sold upwards of 75 million albums worldwide. She is the only artist to have three consecutive albums sell 10 million copies in the U.S.

Tickets for the Vancouver show go on sale March 13 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Prices range from $86.25 – $176.25 plus taxes and charges.
