WhizHack at DSCI’s AISS 2024- Shaping the Future of Cyber Skills

WhizHack Technologies, a pioneering force in India’s cybersecurity landscape, marked a significant presence at the recently held AISS (Annual Information Security Summit), a premier cybersecurity event hosted by the Data Security Council of India (DSCI). The event brought together global and Indian leaders to discuss the future of cybersecurity through conferences and an expansive exhibition.

As the principal participant at DSCI’s National Centre of Excellence (NCoE), WhizHack threw a spotlight on India’s thriving cybersecurity ecosystem. The company showcased its indigenously developed, vertically integrated platform, ZeroHack, a robust solution designed to protect Operational Technology (OT) critical infrastructure, such as power grids and railways, as well as IT networks from advanced state-sponsored cyber threats.

WhizHack participated in two high-impact panels, furthering the discourse on pressing cybersecurity challenges. Kaushik Ray, Co-Founder & COO Whizhack Technologies deliberated on the urgent need for a skilled cyber workforce capable of addressing the rapid evolution of digital threats at the Cyber and Data Protection Skills: What’s Needed Now, What’s Needed in the Future panel, while Col. (Dr.) Milan Patnaik, Co-Founder & CISO Whizhack Technologies made a compelling presentation at Predicting and Defending Critical Infrastructure from Advanced State-Sponsored Cyber Attacks panel. The discussion delved into strategies for safeguarding critical infrastructure against the most sophisticated cyber adversaries.

Speaking about the event, Kaushik Ray stated, “Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji has emphasized the need for self-reliance across the cybersecurity value chain, including hardware and software. This is a daunting task as historically India has been largely a consumer and not a producer of deep tech, with dependence on both Eastern and Western economies. WhizHack showcased its ‘Made in India’ for the World’ platform ZeroHack that can predict, withstand and manage most advanced state based cyber-attacks in both critical infrastructure and IT networks.”

He further added, “This event is surely a catalyst in furthering India’s efforts in the domain of cyber security and deep tech. It was a great knowledge sharing platform which again is the cornerstone of this dynamic industry. We cannot operate in silos and expect to tackle this burgeoning menace of state sponsored and sophisticated attacks. We have to come together as an industry, as a country to build our defences”.

AISS 2024 hosted sectoral meet-ups, sub-summits, parallel track sessions, fireside chats, short presentations, masterclasses, and a host of other formats. The Summit also hosted the thirteenth edition of the Excellence Awards, which celebrated the noteworthy contributions of individuals and organisations to the subject and profession of Cyber Security & Data Protection.
