Fairies on the floor
Another weird wedding tradition of Irish countries that comes on our list is fairies on the floor. In many Irish countries, it is a tradition that the brides feet should always be on the floor, when she dance with her groom on wedding eve. The belief behind this tradition is that evil fairies like only beautiful things and bride is of course, beautiful. So, if her feet are not on the dancing floor then evil fairies will come on the dance floor and sweep her away.
