ISKCON Badshapur Gurugram is gearing up for the Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebration on 26th August 2024 in a big way.
As the festive season has arrived Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebration will be a big hit this year. To mark the occasion Sri Radha Damodar Temple of ISKCON Badshapur Gurugram has come with a day-long festival program.
“This year we will celebrate the occasion with a plethora of activities. The celebration will start with Mangal Aarti at 4.30 am, followed by Bhoga Aarti, Kalash Abhishek, and Maha Abhishek at midnight. “We have made huge security arrangements so devotees can have Darshan of the Lord smoothly. Chappan Bhoga will be offered to the Lord at midnight after the Maha Abhishek. For the celebration along with the main temple, vicinity roads have also been decorated with Kolkata Light. At midnight Lord Krishna will be bathed in several items. On the next day of Janmashtami, we will also celebrate the Appearance Day of Prabhupad- The Founder of ISKCON worldwide.” added Das.
There will be a plethora of cultural programs. There are various programs for different age groups like children, adults, and elderly citizens. Children can participate in fun games activities, and spiritual quizzes. Adult and family members can participate in the divine celebration in different Vedic activities of book distribution, Prasadam distribution, stalls, and other sewa. The Sri Radha Damodar Temple of ISKCON Badshapur Gurugram congregation has a great and rich history. From a small gathering of people that started about 22 years ago, the ISKCON Gurugram has come a long way by transforming itself from a small preaching center to a full-fledged temple. The congregational activities include Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra, Value-Education Programs, Mantra Meditation, Vegetarian Karma-free Cooking, Distribution of Free Prasad to the needy and homeless under ISKCON’s Food for Life Program, distribution of Vedic books, Kirtan concerts, Harinam Sankirtan in the streets, and regular Sunday feast programs.
