National Award to Bharat Vibhushan Lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi on “World Hindi Day”
On January 10, “World Hindi Day,” a grand event was organized by “The Artist Talks Institute” at the “Lok Kala Manch” auditorium in Delhi. This annual event is dedicated to honoring Hindi scholars, intellectuals, litterateurs, and educators of national and international acclaim. Writers and poets from across the globe participated in this prestigious program, which aims to promote Hindi as an international language.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the renowned Indian lyricist and poet, Bharat Vibhushan Dr. Avnish Rahi. On this occasion, Dr. Avnish Rahi was honored with the prestigious “Geet-Gandharva Sahitya Samman 2025” for his extraordinary contributions to literature and society. Through his Bollywood songs and impactful writings on pressing social issues, Dr. Rahi has used literature as a medium to foster social harmony globally.
The award was presented by National Shooter Shivam Thakur (Team India), Gaurav Kishore Sharma (News India), the institute’s founder Rajesh Rai, and other distinguished dignitaries. Dr. Rahi received the medal, the Geet-Gandharva Sahitya Samman certificate, a commemorative plaque, a copper citation, and a traditional shawl.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Rahi remarked that receiving a national award like the Geet-Gandharva Sahitya Samman validates his dedication to the Hindi language and literature. The event saw enthusiastic participation from Hindi literature enthusiasts across states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Bihar, and Arunachal Pradesh.
