Academic Glory 2025: Invertis University Hosts Star-studded Grand 11th Convocation Ceremony

Excellence took center stage at the 11th Convocation of Invertis University Bareilly, as 75 exceptional students were awarded Gold Medals for their outstanding academic performances. The magnificent event, marked by a blend of tradition and celebration, firmly cemented Invertis as one of the top universities in Uttar Pradesh and a leading organisation among colleges in Bareilly.
Carried at the university campus, the convocation was more than just a decorous milestone; it was a vibrant tribute to merit, grit, and ambition. The celebration was inaugurated by Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam, who hoisted the University flag, followed by the official opening of the convocation. Over 850 students from the 2021, 2022, and 2023 graduating classes received their degrees in front of an enthusiastic crowd of families, faculty, and guests. But the Gold Medalists- 75 bright minds received the loudest applause.

Their achievements reflected the academic strength of Invertis University, widely regarded as one of the best colleges in Bareilly and a rising star among private colleges in Uttar Pradesh. In addition to the Gold Medals, 44 Silver and 30 Bronze medals were awarded, and 23 scholars were conferred PhDs, showcasing the university’s growing research culture.

A major highlight of the day was the presence of Prof. Pradeep Kumar Joshi, former Chairman of the UPSC and current Chairman of the National Testing Agency (NTA), who graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Drawing from his rich experience in Indian education, the spoke of the value of early learning, curiosity, and innovation. He compared Invertis Bareilly to a banyan tree—deep-rooted, yet ever-expanding in influence and reach.

Star power added glamour to the academic gathering. Bollywood icons Sharman Joshi, Shakti Kapoor, Govardhan Asrani, and sports champion Saina Nehwal were awarded Honorary Doctorates for their contributions to the arts and sports. Addressing the graduating students, Saina urged them to remain grounded and never forget the encouragement of their parents. Sharman Joshi spoke of introspection and perseverance, while Shakti Kapoor emphasized mastering one’s craft. Govardhan Asrani offered heartfelt thanks and reminded students that long-term success is rooted in discipline.

Addressing the gold medalists and their peers, Executive Director Parth Gautam called the convocation not an ending, but “the beginning of greater journeys.” He announced the creation of an Incubation and Innovation Centre, aimed at turning student ideas into startups. This initiative reinforces Invertis University Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, as a hub for future-ready education.

Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam echoed the sentiment, praising students’ resilience and reaffirming the university’s commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and top-tier placements—factors that rank Invertis among the top colleges and the best university in Bareilly.

The closing ceremony saw the official conferment of degrees and medals in the presence of key figures such as Vice Chancellor Prof. Y.D.S. Arya, Executive Chairperson Sonal Gautam, Registrar Santosh Kumar, Chief Proctor Kamlesh Kumar Dubey, and several deans.

With 75 Gold Medals awarded, the day belonged to the achievers who embodied the spirit of learning and excellence. As the university sends off another cohort of capable graduates, it reinforces its position as a

front-runner among the top 10 colleges in Bareilly, a true powerhouse in Uttar Pradesh’s academic landscape.
