New Delhi, 19th November, 2024: ARISE, a not-for-profit, independent body dedicated to improving K-12 education across India, incubated at FICCI in Year 2016 took a leading role in driving meaningful discussion on gender equity in education at the recent Round Table event on “Fostering the Equiverse: Education for Equity.” Organized by TalentNomics India in collaboration with the KAS Regional Economic Programme Asia (SOPAS), Japan, the round table held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi brought together leaders from education, government, private industry, and civil society. Participants exchanged ideas and crafted strategies aimed at promoting gender equity across South Asia’s educational systems.
Representing ARISE, Ms. Rita Singh, State Chair of Bihar for ARISE and also the Director of Indirapuram Group of Institutions and CEO of Indirapuram Education Network, contributed to the panel discussion through insights from her vast experience as a K12 School leader Speaking on Gender Equity through School Education, she focussed on the vital role that inclusive curricula and gender-sensitive teaching practices play in shaping equitable mindsets among boys and girls from an early age. She also emphasized the importance of creating supportive school environments where mutual respect and equality are core values. Said Ms Singh
