CII Southern Region Organizes Health Insurance Summit 2025 in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, July 31, 2025 – Private insurance companies must ensure swift reimbursement of patient treatment expenses and bring health issues that burden patients under insurance coverage, said Dr. S. Chandrakumar, Head of CII Health and Wellness Task Force.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Southern Region’s Health and Wellness Task Force organized the “Health Insurance Summit – 2025” in Bengaluru on Thursday.

Speaking at the summit, Dr. S. Chandrakumar, Executive Chairman of Kauvery Hospitals Group and Chairman of the CII Health and Wellness Task Force, said that the summit serves as a significant platform bringing together key stakeholders of the insurance ecosystem, including industry leaders, policymakers, regulators, and service providers.

He stated that the primary goal is to discuss the evolving landscape of the insurance sector in India. The vision is to provide health insurance for all, promote customer-centric policies, and expand insurance coverage in underserved areas. The summit addresses major challenges such as rising healthcare costs, increasing disease burden, and limited insurance penetration.

He emphasized the role of digital transformation in simplifying insurance processes, enhancing transparency, and building trust among stakeholders. Dr. Chandrakumar further noted that the summit would act as a strong platform to identify collaborative pathways to strengthen the insurance system in India.

More than 150 representatives from various hospitals, insurance companies, government regulatory bodies, and the insurance industry participated in the summit.
