A dedicated, disciplined, and visionary coach, he has spent the last eight years shaping young gymnasts into national champions at Manav Rachna International School (MRIS), Delhi. Born and raised in Prayagraj, he began his academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Studies from Kanpur University. However, it was his lifelong commitment to sport that defined his path. He went on to earn a prestigious National Gymnastics Coaching Diploma from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), Patiala, one of the top training grounds for elite coaches in India.
Since joining MRIS as a gymnastics coach, Mr. Shamim has been the driving force behind the school’s most successful gymnastics era. His hands-on coaching, technical expertise, and ability to mentor athletes both mentally and physically have resulted in three-time victories at the District, State, School National, and CBSE National Team Championships. Under his leadership, his students have consistently secured multiple state-level titles and a long list of individual medals.
Speaking about his professional journey, Mr. Shamim shares,
“After completing my Bachelor in Commercial Studies from Kanpur University and National Gymnastics Coaching Diploma from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala. I have completed eight years of experience at Manav Rachna International School as a gymnastics coach. In my 8-year journey with MRIS, my school team has won three times the District, State, School National, and CBSE National team championships. We have also won multiple state championships and individual medals.”
But Mr. Razil Shamim’s impact extends far beyond school boundaries. His reputation as a technical expert in gymnastics has earned him positions as judge and referee at some of the most prestigious gymnastics events across India. These include the Open National Gymnastics Championships, SGFI District, SGFI State and SGFI National Championships, All India Inter-University Championships, and the All India Police Games Gymnastics Championship. His involvement in these events not only adds to his professional credibility but also keeps him at the forefront of evolving competitive standards and techniques in Indian gymnastics.
