IIT Roorkee Launches Strategic Product Management Programme to Shape Future Product Leaders

National, 13May 2025: As businesses increasingly adapt to product-led growth models and AI-driven decision-making, the demand for skilled product managers who can blend strategy, design, and technology has never been greater. The evolving digital economy calls for professionals who can create value at the intersection of customer insight, innovation, and data. Responding to this urgent industry need, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has launched its dynamic Strategic Product Management (SPM) Programme, empowering aspiring professionals and freshers to become future-ready product leaders. Designed to equip learners with the ability to create, scale, and manage products that solve real-world problems.

With a robust curriculum that blends emerging technologies, user-centric design, and data-driven decision-making, the 5-month programme empowers learners with end-to-end product thinking from ideation to go-to-market execution through live online classes and a 3-day campus immersion at IIT Roorkee, one of India’s most prestigious institutions. Through its unique ‘Build Your Own Product (BYOP)’ project, participants will conceptualise and present a live product with expert guidance from IIT Roorkee faculty and industry mentors. The flexible weekend format and hands-on training in industry tools prepare professionals to thrive in the evolving tech-driven product landscape.

Who can apply?
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks are eligible to apply. A diploma (10+3) is accepted. Selection is based on a holistic profile evaluation, considering academic performance, current roles, and a statement of purpose.
