I don’t know about you, but this handy makeup trick is going to revolutionize the way that I do my makeup from now on. I can’t believe that I’ve never heard of this trick before. Putting on eyeliner can be one of the hardest parts about getting down your look, but thanks to professional makeup artist Wayne Goss, handling the tricky eyeliner pencil doesn’t have to be so difficult.
Goss’ trick may be simple, but it’s completely eye-opening. He takes an eyelash curler that’s in good shape, and instead of drawing on the eyeliner directly to the eyelid, Goss draws a steady line across the inside of an eyelash curler. I think it’s safe to say you know what’s coming next, which is why I was so surprised that I’d never thought of this before.
After applying the eyeliner to the eyelash curler, Goss curls the eyelashes making sure to press the inside of the tool against his eyelid for at least 30 seconds. When he removes his hand, it’s like magic, a nearly perfect line of eyeliner.
There are tons of different kinds of eyeliners out there, it can be hard to know which is the best for you. If you’re not comfortable using eyeliner, I would take Goss’ advice and start with a coal pencil and steer away from liquid liners to begin with. I personally love using gel liners, and can’t wait to give this trick a try with my current gel liner.
