Ivanka Trump praised Lady Gaga’s performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, despite the singer’s implicit criticism of President Donald Trump.
Gaga opened her 13-minute performance with a cover of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Our Land,” which has recently been co-opted by opponents of Trump’s controversial travel ban.
Many observers interpreted this as a repudiation of the Trump administration. Nevertheless, Ivanka posted on Twitter that she was impressed by Gaga’ halftime show.
“Incredible performance by @ladygaga,” she wrote, according to Metro.
