Mother-Daughter duo and Yuva Unstoppable breaking barriers together

In the heart of Amravati, Maharashtra, resides a remarkable mother-daughter duo whose resilience and determination have defied all odds. Aparna Sunil Khadse, a bright and ambitious student, dreams of becoming a doctor despite her family facing significant financial challenges. Her mother, Varsha Sunil Khadse, stands as a pillar of strength, tirelessly supporting Aparna and her siblings in pursuit of their dreams.

Born into a family with humble beginnings, Aparna’s path to success has been paved with obstacles. With her father working as a farmer and her mother dedicated to managing the household, the family’s annual income of ₹200,000 leaves little room for extraneous expenses, especially when it comes to education. Aparna’s older sister is currently pursuing engineering, while her younger brother is still in school, placing additional strain on the family’s finances.

Despite the economic hardships, Aparna has always harboured a steadfast ambition to become a doctor and serve her community. However, the road to realizing her dream seemed impassable until she discovered the Amitabh Shas founded Yuva Unstoppable Scholarship Programme. Approaching the prestigious Aakash Institute, Aparna was introduced to the scholarship opportunity by a counsellor who recognized her potential. Upon reaching out to Yuva Unstoppable, Aparna underwent a thorough evaluation process, including interviews and background checks, ultimately securing a two-year scholarship.

Says the visionary Amitabh Shah, ‘the support provided by Yuva Unstoppable has been transformative for Aparna, offering not only financial assistance but also invaluable emotional support. We want children to study stress-free’. After completing her 11th standard, Aparna faced immense stress and depression when she couldn’t afford admission to further classes. However, the guidance and mentorship from Yuva Unstoppable counsellors helped her navigate through this challenging period, instilling confidence and resilience within her.

Aparna’s journey towards her dream of becoming a doctor is deeply rooted in her desire to make a difference in the lives of others, inspired by her family’s own struggles. Six years ago, her grandfather’s battle with cancer shed light on the importance of accessible healthcare, fuelling Aparna’s determination to become an oncologist and provide medical aid to the underprivileged.

Varsha Sunil Khadse, Aparna’s mother, beams with pride at the accomplishments of her children. Despite the hardships they face, Varsha and her husband remain unwavering in their support, nurturing their children’s aspirations and instilling in them the importance of education. For Varsha, seeing her children thrive against all odds is a testament to the power of resilience and determination.

As Amitabh Shah observes, ‘in the face of adversity, Aparna and Varsha exemplify the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative impact of unwavering support. Their journey is a testament to the power of dreams, perseverance, and the invaluable role of organizations like Yuva Unstoppable in empowering young minds to reach for the stars’. As Aparna prepares to take the NEET exam on May 5, 2024, her story serves as an inspiration to all those who dare to dream and defy the odds.
