Ruler Harry has been given a Scottish title by the Queen.
He will be the third Earl of Dumbarton – a title that has solid military associations and one not utilized since 1749.
On her marriage, Megan Markle has turned into the Countess of Dumbarton.
The first to hold the title was George Douglas, a more youthful child of the main Marquess of Douglas, who was made Earl of Dumbarton in 1675.
A Scottish aristocrat and warrior, George was given the title by Charles II in acknowledgment of his military administration.
