In a groundbreaking event that has set a new standard for invention literacy, International STEAM Research (ISR LIFE, USA) proudly presented the first-ever ‘MuseVention’ in Rajasthan on November 30, 2024. Hosted at Our Lady Of Pillar Convent School (OLOPCS), Jodhpur, this mega event witnessed an impressive turnout of over 2000 attendees. Students showcased a myriad of inventions and innovations, making it a day to remember for everyone involved.
The aim of MuseVention was clear: to provide a platform for young minds to display their creativity, engage with mentors and experts, and draw inspiration for becoming future-ready innovators. The event was the culmination of months of preparation by the students, who started their inventive journey back in May 2024. Their projects, characterized by real-life applications and global standards, covered a vast array of topics including Energy and Water Conservation, Traffic Engineering, Aerospace, Disaster Mitigation, War Zone Rescue Operations, Crop Management, Health and Environment, Architecture and City Beautification, F1 Racing, Assistive Technologies, Art, Robotic, Drone Surveillance, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and many more.
It is imperative to recognize the mentorship and guidance the students received in their journey to becoming future-ready innovators. Leveraging ISR’s STEAM Experiential Learning 7E framework, the students were empowered to develop problem-solving skills through inquiry, research-based, and hands-on learning. This multidisciplinary approach is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP2020) and aims to holistically develop future problem-solvers.
MuseVention is more than just an event; it is a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. Derived from the words “Muse” and “Invention”, MuseVention symbolizes the creative spark that leads to innovative solutions. In ancient Greek culture, Muses were divine sources of inspiration for artistic and intellectual work. Similarly, MuseVention inspired students to integrate and apply knowledge from their classroom subjects over the past three years, resulting in inventions and innovations that address real-world problems with futuristic technologies such as IoT, AI, Robotics, and Design Thinking.
The students expressed their excitement and pride in being part of such a prestigious platform. Their journey was filled with fun and learning, thanks to the STEAM classes and hands-on activities guided by experts over the last three years. Through these experiences, they developed essential 21st-century skills and showcased their creations with enthusiasm.
International STEAM Research (ISR) is at the forefront of Affordable and Sustainable STEAM Experiential Education. By transforming traditional education into a dynamic and engaging experience, ISR empowers students to become active learners, mindful problem solvers, creative thinkers, and innovators. ISR partners with schools across India to provide hands-on, sustainable, integrated STEAM education with technologies like AI, IoT, and Robotics.
For the past three years, OLOPCS has been a pioneer in futuristic education in Rajasthan, through its partnership with ISR. This collaboration has revolutionized the educational landscape, shifting from rote learning to fostering creativity, innovation, and practical skills. By engaging students with real-world problems and using technology as a learning tool, the school equips students with the competencies needed for the 21st century.
In 2023, OLOPCS hosted the first-ever Robotic Football Championship in Rajasthan, known as the ‘DaVinci SoccerBot Championship’, another successful initiative by ISR. MuseVention is yet another feather in its cap, highlighting the transformative impact of ISR’s partnership with the school. Numerous parents at the event shared their admiration for Principal Sister Pratibhaben Piterbhai Solanki and the management of the school for their exceptional initiatives, noting that OLOPCS has become a beacon of futuristic education, equipping students to thrive in an ever-changing world.
It is commendable to see how the parents and management of OLOPCS are working together to provide the right kind of futuristic education for their students. Such relevant education, which holistically develops students into agile, adaptive, and mindful problem-solvers, is crucial for bridging the gap between industry and school education, ensuring students can contribute constructively to the nation’s development.
MuseVention has not only showcased the innovative spirit of the students but also highlighted the importance of hands-on STEAM education in preparing future-ready problem solvers. This event is a testament to the power of creativity, curiosity, and collaboration in shaping the next generation of innovators.
